The Massachusetts real estate salesperson exam has 120 scored questions: 80 general (national) questions with 150 minutes and 40 state questions with 90 minutes, for 240 minutes total. PSI also administers 5-10 unscored experimental questions whose time does not count against you.
What is the passing score for the Massachusetts real estate exam?▼
You need a minimum of 70% correct on each portion - the general and state sections are scored and passed independently. If you fail one portion, you only retake that portion.
How much does the Massachusetts real estate exam cost?▼

No. Massachusetts does not fingerprint real estate applicants. Instead, you complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) acknowledgment form with your application, and the state runs a name-based record check.

Your Board-approved Educational Certificate of Completion is valid for 2 years - you must apply for and pass the exam within 2 years of completing the 40-hour course, or repeat the education.
